AI4Everyone Erasmus+ Project Kicks Off in Nicosia

The AI4Everyone Erasmus+ Project (2025-1-CY01-KA220-HED-000364525) officially launched with its kick-off meeting in Nicosia, Cyprus, on 18–19 September 2025. Coordinated by Dr. Styliani Kleanthous, Assistant Professor in Human-AI Interaction and co-director of the Cyprus Center for Trustworthy AI (CyCAT), Open University of Cyprus, the project brings together leading European institutions: the University of Trento (Italy), University of Koblenz (Germany), Aalborg University (Denmark), and the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology (Poland).

The two-day meeting marked the beginning of a two-year collaboration aimed at advancing AI education and digital literacy across Europe. Partners discussed project goals, upcoming activities, and strategies for empowering diverse audiences with accessible and responsible AI learning opportunities.

As part of the kick-off, the consortium hosted an online Inauguration Event on September 19 (10:00–11:30 EET), which attracted over 60 participants from academia, education, and the wider public. The event introduced the project’s objectives and partners, while also opening a dialogue on critical topics such as EU regulatory initiatives on AI, the role of education in shaping trust and awareness, and the importance of fostering AI literacy for all citizens.

The AI4Everyone project will develop open educational resources, MOOCs, and practical AI learning tools, aiming to bridge the digital skills gap and ensure that citizens, students, and professionals are better equipped to understand and responsibly use AI in their daily lives.

DataScientia is proud to see its partners, the University of Trento and the Open University of Cyprus, actively contributing to the collective mission of making AI education accessible to all. This collaboration reflects DataScientia’s vision of empowering citizens to understand how their data shapes the future of AI and fostering inclusive, responsible AI literacy across society.
