The DataScientia Event 2024 has successfully concluded and took place at the University of Trento in the Department of Sociology in Italy. The Department, located in the city’s historic heart and surrounded by mountains, served as the venue for the gathering. We are eager to share our key takeaways from the event.
The DataScientia Event: Community, Projects, and Education 2024 successfully brought together international participants from diverse backgrounds to collaborate on AI development. During this event, DataScientia members had the opportunity to share their projects and ambitions, as well as demonstrate how our community works together to make AI technologies ethical, diverse, human-centric, and inclusive. Numerous scholars attended the event to learn about our initiatives and approaches, exchange ideas, and express their interest in establishing partnerships. The Data Scientia event brought together 65 participants from diverse academic backgrounds, representing regions including Central Asia, Africa, South Asia, Europe, East Asia, the Middle East, and South America. Participants included professors, PhD candidates, researchers, and industry professionals from countries such as Kazakhstan, South Africa, India, Spain, Cyprus, Turkey, France, Uzbekistan, Mozambique, China, Uganda, Taiwan, Mongolia, Qatar, Palestine, Iran, Paraguay, and Italy.
The event invited the DataScientia Community to discuss past, ongoing, and future projects and initiatives. It also welcomed anyone interested in learning about Data Scientia’s collaborative projects and educational initiatives. Therefore, the main focus was reinforcing and expanding Data Scientia’s partnerships.
The three-day Data Scientia event consisted of a dynamic series of presentations, workshops, and discussions. The event agenda included innovative projects in education, data collection, language, and data management. It featured engaging discussions, beneficial workshops, and valuable exchanges of experience, strengthening existing collaborations while encouraging new visitors to join the community.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this event. Our appreciation goes to the speakers who presented their projects and led workshops and the participants who traveled worldwide to attend the DataScientia event. Together, we are shaping the future of AI, data science, language, knowledge representation, and education.
We believe that the Data Scientia community will grow and, through our united efforts, create a better future for everyone. The Data Scientia always welcomes innovative ideas, and we are open to new collaborations to grow.
