Everyday AI Course Completion Ceremony Held in Zhuhai, China

On the evening of September 18, 2025, the completion ceremony of the Everyday AI (EAI) course was successfully held in Zhuhai, China.

The course, jointly offered by the University of Trento (Italy) and the School of Computer Science at Zhuhai College of Science and Technology (China), represents the first achievement in teaching collaboration under the framework of the International Joint Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Society.

The EAI course is part of our initiative to make high-quality AI education accessible worldwide. Thanks to the dedication of partners like ZCST, students can learn in their local languages while connecting to a global network of learners and educators. With the theme “Data is the core of AI”, the course guided students to explore not only the technical aspects of artificial intelligence but also its ethical boundaries and social impact. Altogether, 58 students successfully completed the program and were awarded certificates of credit jointly issued by DataScientia and the two universities.

Prof. Fausto Giunchiglia (University of Trento, Coordinator DataScientia)
Prof. Liang Yanchun (Dean of the School of Computer Science, ZCST)
Dr. Matteo Busso (University of Trento)

Celebrating achievements together

The closing ceremony, held in hybrid format, brought together voices from both continents.

  • Prof. Fausto Giunchiglia (University of Trento, Member of the European Academy of Sciences),
  • Prof. Liang Yanchun (Dean of the School of Computer Science, ZCST), and
  • Dr. Matteo Busso (University of Trento)

Each emphasized the importance of this collaboration in shaping AI talent and strengthening Sino-Italian educational cooperation.

What’s next?

The successful delivery of the EAI course sets a solid foundation for:

  • Joint curriculum development,
  • Talent training,
  • Scientific research, and
  • Industrial innovation collaborations within the DataScientia community.

Building on this success, ZCST and the University of Trento are already preparing three additional joint courses and expanding opportunities for international exchange and industry engagement.

At DataScientia, we are proud to see this initiative growing worldwide. By co-creating with universities and partners, we aim to build a future where responsible and inclusive AI education is within reach for everyone
