Science Diplomacy Meets Pluriversality in AI — Upcoming Workshop at AIAS Aarhus
We are pleased to share an upcoming international workshop titled “Science Diplomacy meets Pluriversality in AI”, taking place on 1 June 2026 in hybrid format at the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies.
The workshop brings together researchers and practitioners interested in the intersections of science diplomacy, language technologies, artificial intelligence, and pluriversal approaches to knowledge and governance. The event is organized by the Science Diplomacy Group at AIAS and aims to foster open discussion around inclusive and globally grounded AI futures.
The workshop will feature a small-group format with limited formal presentations and extended time for collaborative discussion and exchange of ideas.
Among the themes to be explored are:
- Pluriversality in AI and language technologies
- Science diplomacy and global knowledge collaboration
- Inclusive and culturally grounded AI ecosystems
- Collective approaches to AI governance and participation
- A draft “Manifesto for Pluriversality in AI” and the possible formation of a related international collective
The workshop will take place on Monday, 1 June 2026, from 13:00–17:00 (CEST) at AIAS, Building 1630, Room 101, Aarhus University.
